Free Wi-Fi was helpful, but the shared kitchen was a bit cramped for my family.

The hotel was located in the heart of the city.

Disappointing aspect was quite small bathroom.

The venue has nicely furnished rooms with an a very comfortable bed, much art, a view over old houses straight out of a period film and friendly staff. The location is magnificent, very close to historic sites. The atmosphere of the hotel is special.

The cozy communal living space with a roaring fire makes for a cute environment to unwind after a day exploring the area. Unique historical decor adds character to the ambiance, allowing guests to appreciate a charming touch of the past .

Access to rooms can be tricky for those with mobility issues, something to consider if you or your party may need assistance. The décor tends to feel cluttered and busy, which detracts from the overall comfort and might make it challenging to find a space for personal belongings. While the self-service breakfast is convenient, options felt limited, leaving some guests yearning for more. Lastly, those with showers reported minor plumbing issues that could use attention.

Heaps cosy with beautiful decor and lovely hosts. Just a bit noisy in the bathroom, but the comfy room made up for it!

What a lekker spot! The fire in our room was a good surprise, made the evening so cozy, and the self-serve brekkie with fresh croissants was great! Plus, Justin lit the fire for us-such a lovely touch.

Bit of a trek to park the car, but not a huge hassle with the public carpark just down the road.

The Bakehouse offers a charming atmosphere that I really appreciated. The communal lounge with the cozy fire created a warm and inviting space to relax after a long day. I loved the quirky decor throughout the hotel. It adds a lot of character. The hosts, Justin and Charlotte, were wonderfully engaging, sharing local recommendations that really enhanced my visit. I found the shower facilities a bit cramped, which could be uncomfortable for some guests. While the self-service continental breakfast had a variety of options, I wished there were more substantial choices available. The unique ambiance and cute hosts were nice, despite some minor inconveniences.

Walsingham Bakehouse was a fantastic family getaway. The warm, homey atmosphere. The attention to detail from Justin and Charlotte was unparalleled, and our kids loved the charming decor! The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with a lovely continental breakfast served, including delicious homemade bread.
